How we price a job

We price by the project after walking the property with you, so the number covers the whole scope and you know it before a machine is unloaded.

The site walk

Free

Every job starts on the property

  • We meet you on site
  • Walk the trees, ground, and access together
  • Talk through what you actually need
  • Simple mulching can often be priced right there

Per-project pricing

One price

For the scope we agree on

  • Most jobs priced by the project
  • Some by the acre when that's cleaner
  • Covers the work we walked and scoped
  • No surprise hourly meter running

Itemized in writing

On paper

For jobs with hauling, material, or rock

  • Each piece of the scope listed
  • You review and approve before we start
  • Deposit on larger projects, explained up front
  • The written scope is what we build to

What moves the price

How dense and how large the trees are matters most. After that it's the acreage, how the ground lays, how wet it is, how easy it is to get machines onto the property, whether stumps have to come out or can be ground, and whether anything has to be hauled off or brought in. Rock on a grading job is a factor too. A heavily wooded one-acre lot that needs clearing and grading has more moving parts than five acres of light brush that just needs mulching, and the price reflects the work, not the acreage alone.

What you get in writing

After the site walk, jobs with hauling, material, or rock get put together carefully and sent to you itemized so you can see exactly what's included and approve it. Simpler jobs are often priced on the spot. Either way, the scope we agree on is the scope we build to. Larger projects generally carry a deposit, and we tell you that when we send the price, not after.
